01Age verification

Core features stay locked until you pass an 18+ check.

Provider

ZoiVera facial age estimation on your device.

Flow

  1. Scan runs on your phone (camera required).
  2. ZoiVera returns a signed token if you pass.
  3. Our server verifies the token and stores pass/fail only. No face photo gallery.
02Anti-sexting & vulgar chat

Before send

Cloud function checkMessageToxicity uses bad-words. Blocked messages never reach the other person. Logged in vulgarAttempts.

On send

scanMessageText checks sexual and harassment keyword lists. Flagged messages get moderation metadata and an auto-report to admins.

Profile photos

NSFWJS scans uploads on-device and on the server. Explicit images are blocked or deleted.

Live Random video

NSFWJS samples the remote video feed on your phone every few seconds. Inappropriate content is blurred, then the session skips and auto-reports.

Club group chat

Same filters as private chat: profanity blocked before send, sexual/harassment keywords flagged and auto-reported. Club admins can kick members and control mic access.

Risk scoring

We track flags, blocks, and reports over 7–30 days. High-risk accounts are marked watch / review / restricted for staff.

03Block

Block from profile or chat anytime.

  • Messaging stops immediately.
  • Manage blocked people in Settings.
  • Unblock restores the match thread if you choose.
04Report

Report users, messages, or behavior in-app. Mehram supervisors can report too.

  • Manual reports go to our admin queue.
  • Keyword flags create automatic reports.

05Device ban

For repeat offenders who make new accounts, admins can ban the physical device.

  • Device fingerprint checked on app open.
  • Banned device = automatic sign-out.
06Mehram supervision

Optional for sisters in a chat. Invite a trusted supervisor (view only or reply).

  • Secure invite link, expires in 7 days, revocable anytime.
  • Mehram uses the Huzz app only for that chat. No dating profile.
  • Mehram messages are clearly labeled.
  • Mehram can report, block on her behalf, or leave.
  • Both chat partners see a Mehram banner when active.
07What we don't promise
  • We don't read every message live.
  • Filters can miss content or false-flag.
  • No criminal background checks on users.
  • In danger? Call emergency services first, then email us.
